Happy First Birthday
Garden of Friendship

The Garden of Friendship celebrated it's first birthday with a week of fun filled events, we even had a party and exchanged gifts.

During the festivities, we had an Essay Contest.  Here is my entry:

The fact that the Garden is celebrating it's First Birthday and has such a wonderful group of members is a dream come true for me. A year ago, I would have never imagined the Garden would grow and develop as it has.  This past year I have had so many happy times here, and have also dealt with many hardships, both personally and with the Garden. The most trying of all was the car accident I was in last January, and the constant pain I have had to deal with since then. There have been so many times I've wanted to give up, but rest assured, every time I sat down at my computer, there would be letters and cards of friendship and encouragement
waiting for me.

There have been so many true friendships formed here in the Garden. I have met so many wonderful people from areas all around the globe and from all walks of life. I have cried both tears of pain and joy with the many
friends I have made here and shared so much. I can honestly say my closest friends are right here in the Garden.

I sincerely thank all of you for the contributions and dedication you have given the Garden. Without you, the Garden would have withered long ago. In a Garden, Friendship should always be Blooming...
THAT is what it's all about!!!

The Garden Members all got together and created a Birthday Quilt to honor the event.  Please click on the tile below to view the Garden of Friendship Birthday Quilt.
