About Me...

My name is Dee, also known as "Deelight".  I am 39 years old and live in Nova Scotia on Canada's East Coast.  I encourage anyone who has an opportunity to visit Atlantic Canada to do so.  The scenery here is breathtaking as we are on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

I live with the love of my life, Monty.  He is my soul mate and my best friend.  You'll rarely find one of us without the other (unless of course he is working)  He has made my life complete and I love him with all my heart.

I have three beautiful daughters from a previous marriage.  My daughters are my biggest pride and joy.  Kayla, my oldest, is 14 and in the grade nine.  She is very involved in 4H and has her own calf she shows during the exhibition.  (My ex husband's family own a large dairy farm)  She also enjoys playing soccer, music and is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

Amber, my "middle" child" is 13 and in grade seven.  She is a long distance runner and she is very involved with Track and Field.  She also plays soccer.  She doesn't share her older sister's passion for the farm... she doesn't like the smell (do you blame her?  LOL)   Her passion is to be a school teacher when she grows up.

Jenna, my baby, is 11 and in grade six.  Jenna is the footloose and fancy free one of the three and doesn't seem to have a care in the world, The only problem is she tends to be careless and sadly is accident prone just like her mother, although being thrown from her horse in October of 2004 certainly slowed her down.  She broke two bones in her foot and spent six weeks in a cast. She isn't as fearless as she used to be.

I am disabled as the result of a motor vehicle accident in January 2001.  Prior to that, I had worked in sales and marketing for a national computer manufacturer.  Although my job had it's stressful moments, I absolutely loved the work and still miss it along with all the great customers I had.  I still haven't given up hope that some day I will be able to return to work although my body tends to disagree with that statement alot of the time.  About a year after I left work, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myofascial Pain and Fibromyalgia.  You can learn more about my illness on my "Life with Fibromyalgia" page.
